How Digital Load Cells Work

  1. Strain Gauges:
    • Similar to analog load cells, digital load cells use strain gauges to detect deformation in the load cell structure under load.
  2. Analog-to-Digital Conversion:
    • The low-voltage analog signal generated by the strain gauges is digitized within the load cell itself using an integrated A/D converter.
  3. Digital Signal Output:
